Researching a coach training school can be exhausting. Walk away with clarity on your individual options.
The International Coach Federation is the Peak Body for coaching worldwide. It supports coaches through events, resources and global chapters. It also accredits training programs that deliver coaching education. ICF-accredited education organizations must complete a rigorous review process and demonstrate that their curriculum aligns with the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.
Certification pathways are where one program can lead into another, or where learning credits from partial completion of one program, can be credited to another program. Because, even the best laid plans, goals, or intentions can change. Your coach education needs to be able to change with you, and with ease.
As an example
You plan to add a coach approach into your workplace and choose a Level 1 program. But, as you learn more about coaching, you decide to pivot direction and pursue coaching as a stand alone career. With ICA’s training you can keep moving forward by crediting your level 1 participation or completion towards a Level 2 program.
Coach training certification leads to a coaching credential, with credentialing being highly regarded but optional. Too often we are approached by coaches who have completed their coach training only to find that it doesn’t pathway to an ICF credential. Their choices are limited to not pursing a credential, pursuing a credential via a portfolio pathway (time consuming and expensive), or returning to study and completing Level 1, 2 or 3 training. So, even if you don’t think you will need a credential, keep the option open by pursuing ICF Accredited Training.
Direct Credential Pathway
* Level 1 accredited study (ACSTH) pathways to an ACC credential
* Level 2 accredited study (ACTP) pathways to either an ACC or PCC credential
+ Level 3 accredited study pathways to an MCC credential (but only after completion of a Level 2 program and the achievement of PCC credential)
(You don’t need to do a Level 1 before a Level 2)

How We Teach
Our students are motivated and inspired people who have a unique ability to see the greatness in others. They live and work all around the world, often travelling and relocating with their families to take on new challenges. No matter where you are, there is always community to connect with at ICA.
Our Programs have been delivered online for over 20 years, and our Class Schedule has always run across multiple timezones. You can take our classes and connect with your Peers wherever you are and whenever you want.
What is your current situation? When you talk to us this is the first question we will ask you, because where you are now in your career will influence the type and length of program best suited to you. All our programs have pathways that enable you to commit to the full 125 hours of accredited training, or start small and upgrade as you go along
Coaching is growing rapidly as both a career in and of itself, and we cater for a broad range of niches and specializations. You might choose to set up your own professional practice, in which case our Business Building resources and Business Labs will support you. You might decide to bring coaching to your workplace so our Group and Team Coaching course will be an additional skillset to add to your portfolio.
